AFINIA, a division of Microboards Technology LLC, has begun shipping the L801 Label Printer. Based on revolutionary printing technology from Memjet , the L801 is positioned to bridge the gap between high speed and desktop printing applications by putting variable, full-color print in the hands of a wide range of users.
The L Series print solution features industry-leading cost of ownership and high impact output. The L801 offers full color printing at 60 ft / minute, 8.5” width and 1600 dpi resolution. The L Series is ideally suited for high-resolution, vibrant, full-color label printing to short- and mid-run inventory and product identification applications at an ultra-low cost-of-ownership. The L801 has an integrated unwinder and holds 1.25 liters of ink (CMYKK) to support large runs. The product also features easy access doors for fast, simple media and ink replacement.
Afinia selected Memjet’s color printing technology because of its industry-changing nature. Memjet’s revolutionary 8.5-inch wide printhead (pictured) uses waterfall technology and with 70,400 jets, it literally shoot millions of ink drops per second.
